What to expect at your first visit
A Warm Welcome
When you arrive at Mosaic Virginia, you will be welcomed with kindness and respect. Our front desk team will check you in and, if you haven’t already completed forms online, you may be asked to fill out a few quick forms to get started.
Pregnancy Testing
You will meet with your personal advocate who will guide you through an intake process and answer any questions. Everything you share is confidential - your privacy is always our priority! The nurse will then review your medical history and perform a pregnancy test.
Ultrasound & STI Testing
Depending on your test results and medical history, the nurse may schedule an ultrasound. Sometimes the ultrasound can be done the same day or it may be scheduled for a later date. The nurse may also offer STI testing as part of your care.
Follow up & Support
Before you leave, your advocate will review your visit and help schedule any additional appointments you may need. After your visit, both your advocate and nurse will follow up with you to check in, answer questions, and provide ongoing support.
